Canoa havaiana IKAIKA in Niterói

We emerged from the initiative of rowers Bruno Couto Rocha and Rafael Silva Souza, because of the strong friendship they built through the sport, "Hoa Aloha", in Hawaiian, means "friend." Therefore, the nucleus aims to promote the Polynesian canoe and all its values, highlighting the friendship, the companionship and the cooperation. The Hoa Aloha Hoe Wa'a, a nucleus affiliated to the Federation of Canoes of the State of Rio de Janeiro - FECAERJ, Federation of Canoe Hawaiian of the State of Rio de Janeiro - FCHRJ and the Brazilian Confederation of Canoe - CBCA, is based on providing the advance of sports, not only in Niterói, but also at state and national level, either with regard to competitions or simply in the healthy practice of outdoor exercises, in close contact with nature. It is worth mentioning that we have as a guideline the implementation of socio-environmental responsibility programs, such as the cleaning of beaches and seas, as well as projects to serve the low-income communities in the area.
