Enjoy Vatersay, Scotland by boat! Island Explorer (2 Hour Trip): Our Island Explorer trip is for the more serious wildlife watcher, offering basking sharks, seals galore, and plenty of puffins and the occasional sea eagle. This trip explores the Islands to the south of Berra, we depart from Castle bay on the Per Mare heading down the east side of Sandray, Pabbay and Mingulay. We then pass through the sound of Berneray, passing under Barrahead lighthouse before heading back north to explore the west side of Mingulay, which boasts some of the best cliffs in Britain and is an Important nesting area for a variety of sea birds. Continuing north we then explore the west coast of Pabbay and the natural arch and then onto Sandray before returning to Castlebay. On our 2 hour trip we can cover up to 28 miles.
