Enjoy stand up paddleboarding in Kuusamo, Finland! Our Stand Up Paddling courses and guidelines are based on the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI) education. We update our knowledge and techniques regulary in a ASI credited school environment in Finland or abroad. SUP ABC Flat Water Skills: A SUP instructor will take you through the basics of the Stand up paddling techniques on flat water. After this SUP ABC you will be able to enjoy the paddling on your own in a safe manner on flat water. You will learn how to enter water safely, go on/off the board, different paddling techniques, how to turn, and how to be safe on water with a stand up paddling board. We will also learn how to fall safely into water and getting back on board. It is only water! Weatherproof clothing is recommended, that it is suitable for swimming. Bring one set of extra clothes to change in and a towel. Wetsuits and shoes are available for renting. SUP ABC is held at the Talvijärvi lake at the Ruka ski resort. Program is available also as a private lesson. Duration: about 1 ½ - 2 hours Group size: Minimum 4 persons, maximum 6 persons Prices: - €50 EUR/person - €90 EUR for private lesson Prices include SUP instructor, SUP board, leash, paddle and PFD, which is optional. SUP Rental: We believe that the experience you get when you use one of Red Paddle co boards is that of an authentic SUP experience and not a low quality substitute to the real thing. Inflatable SUP boards offer the ultimate in convenience but this should not be at the expense of performance. We have chosen RED Paddle co inflatable boards for their convenience, performance and most importantly quality. They are very suitable for the conditions that we face in our versatile Ruka-Kuusamo Water Wonder world. Prices: - €25 EUR for 2 hours - €60 EUR/day (12 hours) - €80 EUR for 2 days (48 hours) SUP rental includes inflatable board, leash, paddle and PFD.
