Difficulty: Medium Price: R$ 190 BRL / US$ 49 per person Not so widely publicised but certainly growing in recent years, Rio de Janeiro offers a plethora of magnificent bays and beaches for sea kayaking. Our departure point is Praia Vermelha beach from where we head to Cotunduba Island, an island located in the entrance of Guanabara Bay between Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi. In addition to the main attraction there are panoramic views of Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Tijuca Forest and Niteroi – the city situated on the opposite side of Guanabara bay facing Rio. The distance of our kayaking tour is 5 km. For more experienced kayakers we also offer more difficult expeditions in nearby cities. For those wanting to become involved in the sport we also offer 2 hours sea kayaking classes, providing all safety equipment, which offer an opportunity to learn the basic techniques and safety procedures of the sport. Includes: Accredited guide, kayak rent and all security materials. You Should Bring: Soft Clothes, Sport Shoes, Bathing Suit and sun cream. Meeting point in Urca, very easy to get there. If you want to include a pickup and drop off service from your hotel or flat, add R$50 per person.
