   If you have given even a vague thought to doing this, just do it! Our couple of days on this fabulous boat, with Phil as our skipper, is a top highlight of our month long trip in New Zealand. Marlborough Sound is stunningly beautiful; Phil is exceptionally knowledgeable, hospitable, and just lovely; Deb is super communicative; and their boat is comfortable, so well appointed and a superb way to spend time in this jaw-droppingly beautiful part of this extraordinary country. Thank you Deb and Phil, it was wonderful.

   The Skipper was all that can be expected of a seasoned mariner. He and his crew were approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, and gracious to a fault. The vessel, S/V Arcturus, has a storied history and is well documented in the library aboard. The upkeep and seaworthiness of the boat is immaculate, and the facilities aboard function as intended. This is not a new, shiny 2022 sailing yacht. 1930s technology, with some modern touches are present, and fully functional. I would do this again, with perhaps more time aboard, without any hesitation. Kudos to crew and Skipper for an enjoyable time.

   What a great experience! Skipper Bruce is a real professional - knows what he is doing, actively engaged our throughout - talking to us about the boat, teaching us a bit about sailing, and sharing about Auckland/NZ generally. The boat is great as well - interesting history, fully restored. 30+ knot winds sure helped, but we had a great time and highly recommend chartering with Bruce.

   I had booked the island hopper for a group of 7 ladies and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful experience on the water! Our sailors Luke and Amy were so nice and super chill. They even let a few of us have a crack at steering the sail. Couldn’t recommend this enough

   Scott is a fantastic captain and host! All of our expectations were exceeded! The boat and itinerary were top notch. We loved our time cruising in & around the Bay of Islands and can’t wait to book a return trip. Nothing compares to a few great days on the water with good friends and outstanding scenery.

   Aproveite a pesca no barco “Albacora” de 30 pés em Whangaroa, Nova Zelândia

   Great personalisation to the group and what fish they would like to target. Ease of fishing was excellent,baiting of supplied rods a bonus, great knowledge of area. Take sea legs ahead of going out if you get sea sick. Highly recommend Roy for a memorable day out.
