You will be picked-up by car at 9:00 am.  First we will go to the famous Chunar Fort.  In ancient times Chunar Fort was established by Maharaja Vikramaditya, the King of Ujjain, in honor of the stay of his brother Raja Bharthari. It is believed that Raja Bharthari took Mahasamadhi (the act of consciously leaving one’s bodily existence at the time of enlightenment) at this fort.  After the fort we will go to a temple complex.  Afterwards we will go to a waterfall for lunch and, if you like, you can go swimming. We will return to Assi Ghat by boat.  During the trip you will be provided with a delicious traditional Varanasi style meal made from fresh ingredients.  While you eat you can enjoy the evening view of Varanasi’s ghats. Included: Fort and Temple visit, afternoon swim, lunch (of your choosing) and dinner, four hour return boat trip.
