The class III-IV Chuquicahuana section is located above Cusco, where the river is cleaner and more fun. You drive ninety minutes to the river where you can put on your wetsuit gear while your guides inflate your raft. You will have a full safety briefing and instruction in the art of white-water rafting. Then you set off for approximately two hours of fun rafting, making the most of the gentle start to practice technique. The river then flows through a beautiful canyon, filled with fun rapids, torrent ducks and views of the surrounding peaks. Finally you reach the take out point and enjoy a full picnic lunch before returning to your hotel mid to late afternoon. Canoe to Pisac Market  The Pinipampa section of the river is clean, tranquil and incredibly beautiful. It lies just forty-five minutes outside Cusco and one hour from the Sacred Valley. The Class I-II rapids are perfect for beginners. On arrival we inflate the one and two person canoes, while you don your wetsuits and life-jackets. Your guide will give you a full safety brief and instruction in the art of canoeing. The river starts gently with time to practice your technique, and then builds up with a few fun rapids through a beautiful canyon where you may see the famous torrent ducks. After a final flat section where you can play some games, you reach the take out point where your dry clothes and a tasty picnic lunch will be waiting. A short drive takes you to Pisac. This beautiful town is famous for its daily craft market, selling everything from colourful textiles to hand-made bags.
