About This Tour

California is the birthplace of organized whale watching and the Santa Barbara Channel and Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary offer one of the richest and most diverse locations to view marine mammals anywhere in the World.

More than 30 species of whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea lions frequent the area, including the majestic blue whale, the acrobatic humpback whale, the barnacled gray whale, the powerful orca, the playful long-beaked common dolphin and the gregarious California sea lion.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

We want you to have a great Condor Express experience. On the majority of our California whale watching trips we see whales. On others, we may run into exceptional sightings of dolphins, porpoises, Orcas (killer whales), basking sharks or other animals, and you’ll get plenty of time to view them. However, sometimes due to weather, or the unpredictability of the animals themselves, we are “skunked”. If we don’t see whales or have exceptional sightings of other marine animals the Captain will issue “whale checks” which are good for a free trip on another Condor Express whale watching trip during the season.

Whale checks are issued at the discretion of the Captain of the Condor Express. If you didn’t see any whales or have exceptional sightings of other marine animals, ask the Captain of the Condor Express, not Sea Landing, for a whale check. Sorry, there are no cash refunds for whale watching trips, but we’ll be happy to take you on another whale watching trip for free.
