Celebrated my 40th with a sunset cruise. What a glorious experience. Captain Claude and First Mate Judy carried us away! We felt perfectly safe, free to enjoy with just the right amount of guiding presence — reminders which way to walk to the bow, where to hold on, what sights not to miss. They worked invisibly but were always looking after us and chiming in with short stories of the area. Pack light! The beauty of the boat and scenery is all you’ll need.

We did a four hour excursion. Went along the coast from Manchester to Salem and then near the islands. Everyone loved it. Bringing younger children we might opted for a shorter trip. If it was just the parents we would’ve gone longer.

Our whole group would just like to send a huge thank you to Captain Claude and Judy for hosting us on the Frayed Knot for a spectacular afternoon of sailing! Both Claude and Judy could not have been more kind and accommodating for our large family sailing excursion. The boat is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable. Our hosts provided great amenities for our sail, were so wonderful with our 2 small children, who could not stop talking about how fun the sail was -- "best sail ever!" If you are looking for a spectacular, comfortable, educational, and above all, memorable sailing experience for your family or larger group, we highly recommend the Frayed Knot! We look forward to future family sails with Claude and Judy.
