We have been extremely successful locating and interacting with this hard to find species. It is truly a pelagic expedition with reliable encounters in the open blue and plenty of opportunity to see other species. We take every opportunity to swim with the oceanics, both free diving and SCUBA. These are advanced dives as we will be drifting in the blue with large predatory sharks, without the protection of a cage. We require an advanced diver certification and free diving/snorkeling experience is recommended. Guests are able to spend hours in the water with the sharks on snorkel, as well as a one-tank dive daily. Even though we’ll typically be drifting over bottomless ocean, the sharks remain close to the surface. The water around Cat Island offers some of the best conditions imaginable.
