Ohakune is a central point for getting to and from the Whanganui River - around 1-1 3/4 hours to a put in point at Whakahoro/Taumarunui and 45 minutes back from the take out at Pipiriki. We now have new Motel accommodation available at our base in Ohakune. You can collect barrels and gear before your trip and leave your car while you are on the river. Contact for prices and availability. We have safe parking for cars while you are on the river at our fully fenced base.
