Blue Canoe Safari Camp is situated at Matema Beach on the northern shore of Lake Nyasa or Lake Malawi, which is in the far southest of Tanzania. In the far southwest of Tanzania impressive mountain ranges surround the 3rd largest lake in Africa. The shores of Lake Nyasa (also called Lake Malawi) are one of the most stunning sceneries Tanzania has to offer. Our eco-friendly camp lies at Matema Beach on the most northern end of Lake Nyasa and offers breathtaking views, crystal clear and safe water and sandy beaches. We only have 8 bungalows all of them built out of renewable and regional materials and from all of them you have spectacular views of the lake and the mountains.. Our campsites are nestled amongst green vegetation and are just a few meter from the beach. Our lovely bar and our organic kitchen with mouth-watering dishes are our our passions we want to share with you.
