It is expected that over time rental equipment will eventually see some normal wear and tear. However, if rental equipment is returned with dents/dings/scratches/ripped upholstery/damaged buttons, hulls, or any part of the pwc as well as damage to other equipment that wouldn't occur from normal use, a charge to your credit or debit card will be performed as to whatever it costs to have the equipment repaired. In the event of equipment damage, the main concern is getting equipment back in good repair, not to be price gouging the customer on the price for those repairs. When you rent, you agree that any damages and or incidents that range from disciplinary action from local authorities to death of the operator or death of any persons caused by the rental operator are the responsibility of the party renting from Zion rentals. Additionally, a damage deposit "hold" will be done on the day of your rental. The hold will be placed on your credit/debit card prior to the start of your rental. Typically, this hold is released upon return and confirmation of no damage. In the case of damage(s) occurring, the hold will be kept on your card until final repair costs are confirmed and charge the balance owed. Most damage can be assessed quickly (one to three days). More severe damage payment resolutions can take a bit longer as it takes some amount of time to find the best quality repair at the best prices going through different quotes as well as getting direct assessment(s) from the repair companies. (This is all done in the same way a hotel or car rental shop places holds on your card when renting a room or vehicle). Additionally, if the particular rental needs to be taken in for repairs, you will be charged the day rate for the damaged equipment each day until it is able to be put back in use. It's in the best interest to get all damaged equipment back into service as soon as possible, so everything will be done in able power to avoid downtime for repairs. If the PWC or any item rented is damaged beyond repair you are responsible for the cost of replacement. In the event that the customer exceeds the time slot they have booked, they will be given a 10 minute grace period to return before an additional charge of $15 for every 10 minutes late will incur.
