You start diving in a pool and progress to an open water site (ocean or lake) practicing diving, gaining confidence and comfort and gathering the knowledge to dive safely. What’s involved in earning your Open Water Certification? - Five Confined Water Dives - Four Open Water Dives - Five Knowledge Development modules - Prerequisites: Age 10 to 14 for Junior Open Water Diver and 15 for Open Water Diver. Good health, reasonable fitness and comfort in the water Class Cost: $385. No equipment purchase is required (unlike most other shop’s classes). Class cost includes: - Instruction - Certification card - PADI eLearning education materials - 15% discount on equipment purchased before open water training weekend (tanks, cameras and weight excluded) - Use of our brand new Atomic, Zeagle and Oceanic rental equipment during pool and open water dives: >> Mask and snorkel >> Fins, boots and hood >> Wet suit >> Zeagle Ranger Buoyancy Compensating Vest >> Atomic Z3 and Z2 Regulator with Oceanic Veo 2.0 dive computer >> Tanks, air fills, and weight - If you’re concerned about being cold during your open water training dives you may upgrade your wet suit to a dry suit. Dry suits are worn over warm insulating undergarments. The dry suit keeps you dry. The insulating undergarment keeps you warm.
