The Charleston Battery is a landmark defensive seawall and promenade in Charleston. Named for a civil-war coastal defense artillery battery at the site, it stretches along the lower shores of the Charleston peninsula, bordered by the Ashley and Cooper Rivers which meet here to form the Charleston harbor. • The Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge The Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River connecting downtown to Mount Pleasant. It opened in 2005 replacing two obsolete cantilever truss bridges. The view of the bridge from the water especially at night is spectacular. • Morris Island Morris Island is an 840-acre uninhabited island in the Charleston Harbor, accessible only by boat. The island lies in the outer reaches of the harbor and was thus a strategic location in the American Civil War. Many people enjoy visiting the island to hunt for sea shells, sharks teeth and possibly uncover civil war artifacts. It is also well know for its red and white striped light house that serves as a beautiful backdrop for pictures. • Lunch or Dinner Cruise Lunch or Dinner Cruise options are plentiful with boat access to California Dreaming on Ashley River, Charleston Crab House on the Wapoo River, Wando River Grill on the Wando River and several options on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant. Enjoy a cruise on the water and no hassle access to a great meal from the water’s edge. Reservations recommended. Price of meal not included. • Sunset Cruise Sunset Cruise is a very popular option that offers an opportunity to soak in the beautiful Charleston horizon drenched in orange, pink and yellow hues. Enjoy a relaxing end to the day floating across the picturesque Charleston Harbor as the sun fades and the moon and stars appear. • Bachelorette celebrations Charleston is a popular destination for Bachelor and Bachelorette celebrations. What better way to make memories and capture them with photos from the boat. Bocce ball on the beach, swimming, sunbathing and great access to bars from the water. Captain Barney was great. Great communication and scheduling. He toured us around and gave us history of the sights. The boat was comfortable and easily accommodated our party of 6. I would definitely book with Captain Barney again when back in the Charleston area. Highly recommend
Captain Barney will give you the most chill day on the water. Cannot recommend enough!
AMAZING! We had such an incredible day with Captain Barney! We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was such a great way to be able to see more of Charleston and the lowcountry. My husband and I are strongly considering moving to Charleston in the near future and this trip sold us on that idea. Captain Barney was a great host. He knows so much about the history of the area and knew all of the cool areas to take us to. He was extremely flexible about changing the date of our schedule since we were hesitant about the weather. Very easy to communicate with as he is very quick to respond. Captain Barney showed us true southern hospitality and we can’t wait to book our next trip with him. This is by far one of our favorite adventures in Charleston! Thank you so much Captain Barney! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Book! Book! Book! We were a party of 5 and did. A sunset tour with Captain Barney! He was amazing and graciously gave us an amazing tour. We couldn’t of asked for a better time. He made our trip to Charleston. Thank you!
We had a great Sunday spent on the water with Capt. Barney and Rachel! They were teriffic hosts/captains -- we couldn't ask for a more comfortable time - especially on a cool windy day on the water. Would highly recommend them!
