As a third-generation merchant mariner I discovered my passion for the sea at the age of thirteen when I was given a 10' wooded boat by my dad. It was a fixer upper so before it could be launched it needed significant work. I was assigned that task and accomplished it. From the first day I put that boat in the water right here in Boston Harbor I was hooked (pardon the pun). Since then, I have owned and operated dozens of boats in order to acquire the necessary sea time before I could test before the U.S. Coast Guard to acquire a merchant marine master's license aka captain's license. The rest is history. As I tell my guests, you don't rely on a captain to take you out, you rely on a captain to take you back. Please come and join us on the Typhoon and you can rest assured you will have a fun and safe trip knowing you are in the good hands of an experienced captain. We need two day’s notice to book a cruise. Captain D.

The USS Constitution gained its notoriety by defeating 5 British warships including HMS Guerriere, Java, Picton, Cyone, and Levant. The battle with Guerriere earned her the name of "Old Ironsides" because her hull was impenetrable. Or take a stroll or an ocean swim on one of the harbors 28 beautiful islands and visit Fort Warren built in 1808 and was used as a prison to house confederate officers during the Civil War. And for the more adventurous a cruise out to one of the outer harbor lighthouses such as Boston Light might suit your fancy. Boston Light is the oldest continually used and last staffed lighthouse in the country and dates back to the Revolutionary War. Or perhaps you might prefer a lovely afternoon sunset cruise thru the bay to watch the sun go down over the city. Whatever your desire is we can custom design an itinerary to suit you. And most importantly you will know that you will have a safe and pleasurable trip with a United States Coast Guard licensed captain at the helm with over 30 years of experience navigating the waters of Boston harbor and the outer islands. There is plenty of room in our refrigerators and freezers so feel free to bring food and beverages of your choice along with you.
