Amazing Sailing Experience in Oxnard, California

1 booking

Charter this Cruising Monohull for $1595 per day in Oxnard, California. Sancerre is available for a few hours ... up to several days. We provide a captain and crew in addition to all meals, wine, beer (and so forth) as well as kayaks. Want to take a lesson, Capt. Dan is happy to oblige. A professional teacher of pilots and sailors, he's been at it for just over 40 years. He holds a captain's license and is a certified ASA and NauticEd instructor. A typical overnight cruise goes to Santa Cruz Island. For cruises of three days and up, we will also go to Santa Rosa and San Miguel Islands as well as Santa Barbara Island and/or harbors along the mainland coast. Wildlife is very diverse in the islands with 7 species of cetaceans (whales, dolphins porpoises), 5 pinniped (seals, sea lions), birds, including bald eagles and seabirds to numerous to recall and critters and plants found nowhere else in the world. See info at Channel Islands National Park Note: There is a 5% harbor tax and 3% National Park surcharge Wanna sail? If you’re experienced, I’ll just stand back. If you’re a beginner, I’ll give you some basic instruction. This is a sailboat rental with lots of extras and added safety. Wiley is 36 feet, not small, but she’s not huge either. If you’re experienced, you can take her into the anchorage and set the anchor … but if you don’t have that kind of experience, I’m happy to walk you through it. Lunch Once we’re anchored, I’ll serve lunch. It’s usually deli sandwiches, fruit, dessert (don’t let me take any!), soft drinks and water and chips (don’t let me have any of that, either). We’ll talk about what you’d like to eat when we set up your cruise.

Captain is included.

I'm a licensed US Coast Guard Captain with more than 40 years of boating experience. My current cruising grounds are the Channel Islands of California.
