What You Can Expect: The British Virgin Islands is a popular destination for sailors, with near-constant trade winds, all-year round high temperatures and dazzling white sandy beaches lapped by tranquil, clear turquoise waters. Sail to the Caves, the Indians or Fallen Jerusalem to see tropical aquatic life by snorkel or scuba, easily hop between uninhabited islands or explore breathtaking, secluded anchorages at Benures Bay or Hallovers Bay. If you want to party, head to palm-fringed beaches and enjoy the bars, such as Pusser’s Landing, Soggy Dollar Bar or Foxy’s.Whether you want to relax or meet the locals, the BVIs offers choice and well-equipped marinas. Itineraries Day 1: Overnight at Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina BVI and get to know your boat. You can relax and grab a bite to eat at the resort bar and use the resort facilities. Day 2: Head to Virgin Gorda and the Baths Marine Park for a snorkel or hike to Devil’s Bay through the maze of giant boulders on the beach and grab a bite at Top of the Baths on the way. Make for North Lee Bay, Fallen Jerusalem, for amazing swimming and snorkeling among vibrant marine life. End the day at Virgin Gorda’s “North Sound” and enjoy drinks and dinner at the Leverick Bay Resort and Marina. You can also stock up on water and ice there. Day 3: Sail to the low-lying coral island of Anegada to see flamingos, salt ponds and white sandy beaches. Try the native lobster and rum smoothies at the Reef Hotel or conch at Big Bamboo, Loblolly Bay. In November, you can join in the fun of the famous two-day lobster festival. Day 4: Visit Monkey Point, Guana Island, for amazing snorkeling and turtle spotting. The National Park moorings are still there. Day 5: Make for Sandy Cay National Park and anchor off White Bay, Jost van Dyke, to visit the array of famous bars. Visit the Soggy Dollar Bar to try their infamous painkiller cocktail, or head to Foxy’s and Corsairs at Great Harbour. Day 6: Sail to Soper’s Hole and grab a bite to eat at Pusser’s Landing or Omar’s Cafe. Sail around to the Indians Marine Park for snorkeling, near Peter Island, and overnight anchor at Norman Island’s mooring balls at The Bight, Kelly’s Cove, Privateer Bay and Soldier Bay or anchor in deep water at Benures Bay. Day 7: Explore the caves on Norman Island before sailing to Rhone Marine Park to snorkel over the steamer wreck, RMS Rhone that sank in 1867. Head to Cooper Island and Cistern Point for snorkelling or Hallovers Bay. Day 8: Back to Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, to disembark. Frequently Asked Question What is a crewed charter? Vacation in style and hire one of our all-inclusive, luxury crewed yachts for you and your guests’ exclusive use with an exciting destination tour and fine cuisine tailored to your preferences. A crewed charter is the ultimate in vacations and personalized to suit your tastes and plans. You do not need sailing experience as your yacht will come with its own crew of experienced professionals, including an experienced skipper and chef, who offer discrete, yet attentive five-star customer service. If your yacht is more than 60ft, there may be an additional crew member to look after you. Our crews are destination experts and will work with you to create your own bespoke itinerary suited to your vacation plans, with advice and recommendations to give you a unique experience. Your vacation will be fully catered with delicious meals prepared to your specification in advance of the charter. We will ask for your culinary preferences and the type and style of meals you and your guests enjoy so that the crew can carefully craft cuisine to match. We offer yachts with between four and six cabins, accommodating up to 12 guests. Our cabins are modern, comfortable double bedrooms with private bathrooms. You can hire our crewed fleet for a minimum of three to four nights, depending on the location, except during the Christmas holiday period when the minimum hire is for seven nights. Who makes up the crew on a crewed yacht charter? Your crew includes a skipper to sail the boat for you and a personal chef. If your chosen yacht is over a certain length, there may be an additional hostess in the crew. All our crews are handpicked for their expertise in sailing, cuisine and customer service, as well as destination knowledge. This will be possible for our permanent crewed yachts. When will the meals be served? Meals will be served to suit your needs, although times may vary according to your preferred itinerary. Snacks are also served and available on board. Can we see sample menus? Yes. Can you look after special dietary requirements? This will be discussed before your charter so the meals and ingredients can be tailored to your preferences. Can I book a special cuisine for one night? We will do our best to source a specialist chef to make your dreams come true whether that is local or international cuisine. If you are celebrating a special milestone, such as a birthday or anniversary, let us know on your preference list pre-charter and we can arrange cakes, champagne and many other items that help you mark the occasion. Are their child or age restrictions? There are none, children are welcome. What happens if the weather changes? The captain may decide to change the itinerary if there is bad weather. How do guests get to the shore from the yacht? The crew takes guests to the show using a dinghy. What is the dress code? There is no dress code. What footwear should I wear onboard? Barefoot is best on board. Do life vests have to be worn on board? Life vests need to be worn. Can I use my hairdryer and hair straighteners on board? Usually you can, but it will depend on the boat so please check prior to arrival. Hairdryers are not provided in the cabins. Can I charge my mobile phone/tablet on board? Usually you can but it depends on the boat. How much cash should I carry? This is up to you. What is the smoking policy on the yachts? Smoking is only permitted in the very rear of the catamaran with respect given to non-smoking guests or by crew discretion.
