Day 2 Ascension of the Guadiana River. In the early morning we prepare the sailboat and ready to set sail! All the rag up and we enter with the tide by the mouth of the Guadiana. We navigate upstream and the landscape begins to change its marine environment for a mountain range dotted with white villages, nature reserves and old fortresses. We arrive in Alcoutim in the afternoon, a beautiful Portuguese village of whitewashed houses located on a hill that falls in the same river. A walk through its cobbled streets to the Castle and ended with a swim in its hidden river beach. The most daring can also cross the river from Sanlúcar de Guadiana in Spain to Portugal in a spectacular zip line! We are anchored overnight between the two fortresses that preside over both towns. Day 3 Alcoutim - Ilha De Tavira. Today we go down the river pushed by the north winds and again we find the Great Blue. We head west sailing between the horizon and the old fortified village of Cacela Velha . This is an intense day of navigation with time to swim at sea , fishing or discover with our employer all the secrets about sailing. Night in the estuary. Day 4 Ilha De Tavira - Natural Park Da Ria Formosa. At mid morning we anchor and continue sailing with all the rag up to the set of virgin islands and marshes that make up the Ria Formosa Natural Park, one of the most important in Portugal for its geographical location and exceptional biological diversity. Cabanas, Armona, Culatra, Barreta, a barrier of narrow and sandy islands with deserted beaches of transparent waters to explore. We are anchored at night in the middle of nature. Day 5 Ilha De Culatra. Today we will spend the day enjoying this protected natural paradise. In the morning we will approach with the dinghy to the Ilha da Culatra: a long arm of fine white sand, dunes and small fishing settlements that take us to other eras, colorful boats balanced by the waves and extensive marshes. A large expanse of water that gradually narrows to become a perfect main channel for bird watching. We can also visit the picturesque village of Olhao with its lively narrow alleys of North African air and savor its delicious seafood cuisine. Free anchoring. We wanted to bring our travelers another way of traveling through Spain, away from mass tourism, with small groups and expert guides. We are a team of biologists, historians and nature technicians based on the reliability of the project. The infrastructure would also have to be ours so that the quality depended exclusively on us. We prepare carefully designed itineraries with great care and consider the essential accommodation. That's why we chose it in Faro del Sur on the front line of the coast and in front of a beautiful natural landscape. In the north we opted for a manor house of Indianos reformed to give maximum comfort and warmth in an incomparable environment. We achieve a perfect balance between quality and price.

Additional Terms & Information

Crew With all the groups there is a Skipper. Their job is to steer the boat, take care that everything develops as planned and coordinate the group during the journey, so, know well the areas through which the trip takes place. Our Captain, in addition, is a person with a lot of experience in sailing through all the seas of the world and great capacity of reaction in this type of voyages. On land, for security reasons, our Captain will not be obligated to do all the activities with you. A Classic Day On a Route During the sailing trip, we sail an average of 4 or 5 hours a day (depending on the weather conditions and the state of the sea). In the mornings we will prepare the sailboat and start the planned route for that day. We will have time to know with tranquility the natural spaces and towns of the itinerary. We will spend the nights in the sailboat anchored in the middle of the nature (rivers, marshes, islands) or to the shelter of some port when the Captain so decides This is a trip in which we will combine moments of relaxation with activity on board (fishing, learning to knot, govern the sailboat, etc). On land, for safety reasons, the activities will be carried out by free when the Captain can not or considers it appropriate. Participation The group will consist of 8 passengers maximum + crew. Although the Employer coordinates and carries out the work of patronage, logistics and support, the participation of the group on board is important, so it is positive that the members collaborate for the good development of the trip. This aspect, although spontaneous among travelers, we want to reflect to help understand the nature of it. Foods After boarding in Isla Cristina, our crew will meet with the passengers to organize the purchase of food for the whole week (common fund of € 30 per person for shared expenses on board: breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week). The passengers will organize the different meals on board with the help of our crew. There are also in some of the towns that we will visit small local restaurants that facilitate contact with the place and its people. Seafood stews and rice, seafood, petiscos, the famous cataplanas ... A fisherman's kitchen full of traditions. Weather We are in an area of Atlantic climate, with much influence of the winds and humidity of the ocean. The average summer temperatures range between 25 and 30ºC but the sea breeze moderates the temperature rises very much. At night cool a bit and you have to put something on top. The sea at this time of year is very quiet, so, sailing is very comfortable, safe and suitable for everyone. General Personal Team On the luggage you must carry the essentials: Small travel bag that is not rigid, comfortable and light clothing (shorts and long, light shirts, something warm, thin raincoat, swimsuit, cloth towel, etc.). Sports shoes, flip flops and booties. Small backpack for activities on land, hat, sunglasses, high sunscreen, mosquito repellent, headlamp. Basic kit for personal use. Biodramina. European sanitary card.
