Guest Access

Life on a boat can be quite different to what you are accustomed to. If you want to get a feel for what life at sea is really about then be open minded because it really is a unique experience!
To access the boat from alongside the dock, there is a rail to climb over with the assistance of a step on the dock. There is a low entry way when accessing the interior of the boat, however plenty of headroom once inside.

There are 7 cabins in total; the front cabin has two bunk beds that are long and thin. The four forward double cabins, accessible by ladder below the saloon, have double beds which are 6 foot (1.8m) long. The 2 aft (rear) double cabins have a little extra length which are more suitable for taller people. All cabin doors are lockable from the inside and have a fan as well as spare blankets and towels provided.

The deck is the perfect space to sit back and unwind while watching the sun setting over the water while the vibrant city comes alive with colourful lights. You can also see fireworks every Friday evening over the harbour during the winter.

The "galley" (kitchen) has a chest fridge and a gas stove as well as all the essentials including tea and coffee. There is also an esky/chilly bin located on the deck to use for drinks for events or if you require extra room.

There are many adventure sailing books as well as tourist guides for Melbourne available in the small library in the saloon.

There are two "heads" (bathrooms/restrooms) located at each end of the boat (forward and aft). The boat was built to sail the seven seas, therefore the design of the heads requires it to be quite small. They hold a specially designed marine septic toilet, it can seem noisy at first as it operates a macerator pump to assist in disposing of the waste. There is a shower wand in each head with hot and cold fresh water.

Interaction with Guests

I will be there to meet and greet you when you arrive to show you around the boat and assist wherever possible. I am a full time live aboard host to help you with anything you need during your stay.

The Neighborhood

The Docklands is the heart of Melbourne city and home of Etihad Stadium. The boat is located in the Victoria Harbour precinct which is bustling with restaurants, bars and cafes with spectacular views of the harbour. Surrounded by multiple shopping precincts and markets, and just a short tram ride to the city centre. this is the ultimate location to make the most out of your stay in Melbourne.

Getting Around

There is a free tram service that operates throughout the city and is accessible just a minutes walk from the boat. The service also offers a guided city tour on one of Melbourne's oldest trams. Airport transfers, local and regional trains, buses and trams are accessible from Southern Cross station which is located across the road.

Other Things to Note

Please be aware that this is a sailing boat and therefore amenities such as toilets and showers are not the same as a household. The design of this vessel requires a small bathroom which people who are not accustomed with sailing boats may not be used to. Marine toilets and hot showers are installed and are simple to use. The toilets require a button to be pushed which does make a buzz sound in operation and the showers are hand held. Mobility is required to move around the boat, particularly climbing on and off. Please ensure you bring soft luggage, large heavy suitcases will damage the timber. They will be difficult to store and to move into the boat...remember this is a sailing boat. The boat does not leave the dock during your stay, however there is an option to book onto a sailing trip on Sunday afternoons during Summer. Please inquire.
