Kayaking is an exciting and fun activity that's relatively easy and accessible for everyone. Our sit-on-top inflatable waveskis can be used for scenic wildlife estuary tours or for riding the waves in our waveski trips. We have single and two person, rigid, highly maneuverable sit-on-top kayaks also.
We can teach you how to enjoy them on flat water and progress you out into the waves. Paddling down the face of a wave with your buddy or on your own is a wild water experience not to be missed, a great way to enjoy the surf.
We also offer tours on our sit-on-top kayaks around the estuaries of Cornwall - see below for details. We also offer beginner kayaking sessions in the harbour where we can play games and have a lot of fun in a safe enclosed environment.

SURF RAFTING
Surf rafting is a new activity invented by Vertical Descents and brought to the shores of the UK so everyone can have a great time in the waves. This new and exciting activitiy is amazing and a must do for everyone. 
Surfing is one of the most popular and fastest growing board sports but you can only do it by yourself. Now we can do it together in a group on a raft. White water rafting is one of our most popular and specialist activities as is surfing, combining the two just came naturally and what fun it is. 
We will load up our specially designed surf rafts with six people and a guide and take you out on the water. Once you have got to grips with the raft and how to paddle it we will take you into the surf.

Surf Rafting Trips in Newquay

Whether you have never surfed before, or in need of a refresher course, or have been surfing for years and would like to take your surfing to the next level.
We run surf lessons for all ages and abilities from half day to seven days but we're totally flexible and can tailor lessons to fit around your holiday in Cornwall.
The surf Lessons are designed to be informative, challenging & fun, but most importantly, safe. We guarantee that for however long you are with us you'll get a fresh, exhilarating experience that will not be forgotten!
Half Day Surfing Lessons
10:00am or 2:00pm start. After a short 'dry' lesson to explain the basics, its straight into the surf for roughly 1.5 hours. We're usually back at Bluewings H.Q. for around 12:30pm or 4:30pm.

Half Day Surf Lessons for All Ages and Abilities in Newquay, United Kingdom

We have only had minimal boating experience on surf trips.

This two-hour course is the choice for you if you have little or no experience of standup paddling. Here, you will be introduced to the board and paddle and will learn about the fundamental paddling and control techniques, as well as essential stuff like proper launching and landing the SUP, self-recovery and understanding the effect that local conditions have on a session.
At Surf Sanctuary, we don’t run our intro SUP lessons on a lake or enclosed water; we take you straight onto the sea as that’s where the sport was developed and where you paddle when you come to Cornwall. You will be immersed the exciting, dynamic ocean environment and quickly develop the relevant skills for a long life of safe, happy paddling. Whilst the Intro sessions are quite ‘cruisey’, expect your balance and senses to be challenged, and your feeling of accomplishment to soar through the roof.
Intro SUP courses are available to anyone of the age of 14 who can swim 100m. Whilst we remain close to the shore in a sheltered sea state, there may be surface chop and small swell (unbroken waves); in our experience these are realistic conditions for first-time paddlers with correct equipment under the supervision of an experienced instructor.
