About This Paddleboard

Kite surfing or kite boarding is a fast paced adventure surface water sport.  Kite surfing harnesses the power of the wind to propel a rider across the surface of the water on a kiteboard. It is a fun and social sport that can improve your fitness and give you a real adrenaline buzz.

New to kite surfing?  Before you take to the water on one of our British Kite Surfing Association courses we recommend you try one of our Give it a go power kiting sessions with our fully qualified, enthusiastic instructors. We can help you learn how to handle a kite which will ensure you get the most out of your kite surfing lesson as well as providing the opportunity to meet new people and gain confidence. We hold a range of power kiting sessions suitable for those over the age of 10, just take a look at our watersports time table for the next session. If you are unsure which session will suit you then give us a call and one of our 360 Crew will be happy to help.

Once you’ve mastered your kite handling skills you’re ready to progress to this kite surf discovery course.  Your British Kite Surfing Association instructor will introduce you to leading edge inflatable kites, equipment set up, the harness, launching, body dragging through the water and returning to shore.  You need to be 18 or over and be able to swim 50 meters in deep water to take part on the course.  At the end of the course you will be issued with a BKSA kite surf card and certified up to Level 1 standard, this will record your initiation into the sport and show you are ready to continue learning safely.

Kite surfing take place on the beach and in the water close to 360 so your friends and family can relax inside or out on the decking and watch you improve.  All customers will have access to our shower, changing and locker facilities.  Don’t forget to join your instructor and 360 Crew for a drink or bite to eat afterwards to enjoy the social side of sport.

360 kite surfing courses are run by Gower Kite Riders, a BKSA kite surf school which has been operating in Swansea Bay for several years, you can check out their website on our partners page for more information.  Kite surf courses need to be booked at least 48 hours in advance and need a minimum of 3 participants in order to run.
