About This Boat

Enjoy sailing in Port Townsend, Washington! Charter "Jasman", a 65 foot Custom Built Sailing Ketch for private or corporate parties. Sunset trips and day trips sail around Port Townsend Bay for up to 30 people. Over night trips, such as San Juan Islands, for up to 8 people. 

Guests should be in good health prior to boarding. 

Rates:

 • Half day (4 hours) $400. Full day (8 hours) $800. Overnight $1,200.

What You Can Expect:

Charter trips available for 3-6 nights in/around the Pacific Northwest. Plan your adventure of sailing the San Juan islands, exploring pristine hiking trails, and enjoying the abundance of unique wildlife. On day trips we will tour Port Townsend bay; however, on extended stays we have many destinations to choose from. Some of which are Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Port Angeles, and Port Ludlow just to name a few. You will greeted by the Captain or first mate on the public dock at the end of Taylor st. in Port Townsend and then brought by dinghy to the boat that will be out on anchor.  

The weather changes fast on the water, please bring extra clothing to be prepared. Boat shoes or light color sole shoes are best.

What To Expect On-board:

Jasman is a custom built sailing ketch that was designed to circumnavigate the Pacific Ocean. She was built in Bellingham Washington in 1974. With four cabins available: 2 double bed cabins and 2 bunk cabins , she is comfortable and easy to find a quiet place to relax. The accommodations are spacious for a boat but tight if you aren't familiar with boats, bunks are cozy. The galley and main salon offer plenty of space for dining, gaming, and socializing. The deck is spacious and clear with lots of room to stretch out and relax on including deck chairs for enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Jasman was approved by the Coast Guard to carry 41 passengers plus crew; therefore, day trips with a lot of your friends are possible. The cockpit is large and safe for kids of all ages. Included are two kayaks and a dingy with a motor for shore excursions and exploration. While under sail you will enjoy a comfortable ride with the option of being part of the sailing crew or just sitting back and taking in the experience.

What's Included: 

Snacks, water, and soft drinks are included, a cooler and/or refrigerator are available for anything you bring for a day trip. Complete meals for overnight are included and catering for day trips can be arranged. Towels and linens are provided for all overnight stays. Guests will have access to the two sea kayaks as well as the two dinghies with outboard motors. Blue tooth for music is available with speakers on deck and in aft salon.

Rental Requirements

This is a skipperd bare boat charter. Full refund 1 day prior to departure. All safety rules must be followed at all times. If the trip is canceled due to bad weather (as determined by the owner) your trip will be rescheduled at a time that is convenient to you and based on availability. All attempts will be made to insure a reasonable and pleasant outcome.
