About This Boat

Rent this Power Catamaran for $1000 per day in Denpasar, Bali

Bali, the 'Island of the Gods "
between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific is better known for beach holidays & honeymoons as for Yacht Charter & Sailing.
This is partly due to the slightly "complicated" bureaucracy of the country, but also because the waters around Bali are one of the most demanding in the world with uncharted reefs and strong currents. These currents at the Lombok-Strait can be up to 9 knots and many reefs are not recorded on any chart.

Now Reinhold Schulz (from Hamburg/Germany) and his wife Zully offers crewed yacht charter and Joint Cruises on his 15-Meter Ocean-Going Motorsailer-Catamaran "SunDowner".

He lives more than 30 years in Indonesia and is sailing in the waters around Bali, Lombok, Java & Sumbawa for more than 18 years now.
Thus he knows every coral and every rock with name and offers guests unique bays at uninhabited islands with excellent snorkeling and diving spots that hardly anyone knows.
Sundowner-Cruises offers individual private-charter and berths on overnight Cruises for up to 8 persons as well as day trips for up to 24 people.

The Catamaran:
This 48ft "open deck" - deep-sea ocean-going catamaran is really perfect for the waters around Bali and Indonesia. It is a further development of a very popular and oceangoing, English Catamaran which was designed specifically for the tropics and longer sailing trips.
This catamaran is not only safe & fast, it also provides excellent Comfort for up to 8 people in 4 double cabins with private toilet & shower (in two cabins)!
It's really fun to cruise with this ocean-going catamaran with its strong Engines and the powerful Rig. Everything on board is very economical & ecological designed and installed and is easy to use without a lot of electrical "nonsense" and electronics (of course there are electric lights and bilge pumps and fans & MP3/iPod-Station, but everything is very, very frugal and much can also be operated manually).
The tremendous width of nearly 8 meters guarantees good sailing comfort, plenty of space for up to 24 guests on day trips and 8 guests overnight and the stomach does not necessarily have to be made of reinforced concrete as the Cat has little heal and is pleasant for motor-sailing!

There is a very large cockpit with a cozy "Living Area", pantry and a large block &, functional cockpit table for up to 8 people.

The Hulls are strongly built in hand-laid fiberglass reinforced fiberglass and each hull has a larger private "double cabin" with a large double bed (200x155 cm), wardrobe & plenty of storage space, Toilet & shower.
In addition, a further, smaller-separated double cabin with double bed (200x140 cm) is located in the starboard bow plenty of storage space and a private toilet. On the port side there is a smaller cabin room with 2 double beds (bunk beds) with own toilet.
The boat is unsinkable by many large buoyancy spaces in all areas and can also be sailed even if "flooded".
There are, among other things, a "water collection system," many hand pumps, solar cells and two (new) "powerful but quiet" and economical 124-hp Mitsubishi "4M40" diesel engines which also in strong currents always enough power provide.
