Terms and Conditions

Pricing:

All of our prices are in Australian Dollar (AUD) and include GST as of 1st July 2016.

NSW wharf fees:

A NSW Government duty tax will be paid by the hirer for each and every pick up and drop off at $50.00 per wharf slot . This fee applies to most wharves in the city and is subject to change without prior notice.

Child fees:

Children under the age of 5 years are free of charge. Children between the ages of 5-14 years of age are charged at half price. If a package is based on a minimum of XYZ guests then the minimum number must be met before children are permitted at ½ price.

Extra people and contractors charges:

In case you want your Photographer, MC, Band members or any other additional persons (apart from your guests) to remain on board during your function, they will be charged at half price. A meal will be provided for them also. The number of additional patrons must be in proportion to your party size and a maximum of 5 will be permitted at 1/2 price at any time. Additional will be charged at the full rate.

Additional vessel hire fees:

Additional vessel hire (over & beyond what you have booked) is charged at $550 per hour (Princess and Star) and $800 per hour (Spirit) plus the consumption of drinks.

Deposit 

A written Letter of Confirmation will be forwarded to you upon confirmation of your booking. A deposit of $1000 (Jan – Oct) or a non refundable & non transferable deposit of $3000 (Nov-Dec) or 10% whichever is the greater is required to secure your booking.  Payment is not refundable and not transferable within 30 days of the cruise date or at all during Nov - Dec.

Cancellation

The deposit is only partially refundable on cancellations received in writing 30 days or more prior to your cruise date. Should you book within a 30 day period your deposit will not be refundable.

A $150 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations received in writing 30 days or more unless we are able to secure another event for the same date, time and vessel. Cancellations received within 30 days are 100% non refundable unless we are able to secure another event for the same date, time and vessel.

Please note deposits are non refundable during the period of Nov– Dec even with 30 days prior notice.

Damages

All breakages & damages must be paid for. You will be advised of any damages prior to disembarking and asked to sign for them!

Set up:

A maximum of 5 guests are permitted to board the vessel up to 2 hours prior to your charter and remain on board to set up if you would like to add to the standard décor that we provide.

No confetti is permitted or are items that require hanging from the ceiling. Banners, balloons & streamers are fine.

If you would like ALL furniture removed from the vessel then an additional fee of $225 shall incur to cover the time it takes and storage.

Delays

Due to the increase of traffic during the months of November-December and Special events delays may be experienced during pick up & drop off times.

Public Holiday Surcharge

A 20% surcharge applies for Public Holidays. You will be advised of the amount in your quotation.

Security Guards

We provide security for all School Formal, Uni Party Cruise and Bucks Party Cruises as part of our standard packages at no extra cost. If you are booking outside of these packages and we consider the cruise to be of mid to high risk, such as 18 birthdays or cruises where adult (25 +) supervision is limited, then we reserve the right to ask you to employ security. The rate to cover your own security is $275 per guard.

Bond

A $1000 bond applies to School Formal, Uni Cruises, Bare Boat Hire and any bookings that we may consider to be high risk EG bucks parties, and hostel affiliated parties and so on. In the event of damages you will be informed prior to disembarking the vessel and will be asked to sign in acknowledgement.

Injuries

To the extent permitted by law, the Company, its related entities, employees and agents shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential) as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with the cruise.

The Passenger releases the Company for any claim whatsoever and howsoever incurred including but not limited to a claim for death bodily injury damage or loss of property during embarkation and/or disembarkation to or from the vessel and/or at all times whilst on board the vessel itself, unless caused by willfull misconduct or reckless disregard of the Company. Whilst Vagabond Cruises ensures a safe environment for all patrons travelling on board our vessels, we accept no liability for any injury or claim caused by the passengers own negligence including, but not limited to, tripping, falling or any other accident that could be avoided by taking due care and caution of one’s surroundings. Equally, should any patrons choose to disregard on board safety rules and regulations or advice from our crew on board, then Vagabond Cruises shall be free from liability for any claim or injury incurred as a result. Due to the sometimes unpredictable movements of the vessel(s), sensible/ flat footwear is highly recommended whilst on board.
