Explore the Guadeloupe and Its Islands for 8 Days/7Nights aboard "Monocoque" Sailboat for as low €1095 per person. Includes air transport on scheduled flight Paris / Pointe-à-Pitre to / and transfer to the marina if you bought our transport, the management of the cruise and the learning according to your level and the provision of the boat, accommodation on board and liability insurance. Does not include the fund board which is used to pay the postage, food, clearances, fuel, gas and small consumables. Allow about 17 euros per day and per person.

What You Can Expect:

Build a navigation program to discover a unique maritime region.
Organize for life on board. Operate a crewed boat while progressing in practice and at all posts. Become familiar with nautical charts and documents. Know basic safety concepts.

Course Content

During your cruise, you alternate periods of navigation, with a choice of stops anchorages or in ports.
The navigation program is built with your monitor according to the general level of the crew, the expectations of each and the weather conditions.  In navigation, you participate actively in the walking of the boat occupying the different positions; Bar, maneuvers, and navigation. Progression adapted to your level is proposed for each situation.

Victualing is done mainly on the first day and regularly thereafter depending on the needs of the ship. Everyone participates in daily life on board: races, preparation of meals, cleaning, storage, routine maintenance of the boat to ensure the proper functioning and quality of collective life. At the stopovers of the activities are always possible (visits, walks or others ...). They are organized according to the desires of each and the opportunities of the place.  In short: a real life as a stopover sailor.

From beginners to confirmed crew, this program will allow everyone to find his rhythm and practical situations suited to their experience. Knowing how to swim is essential.

The Pace of Navigation

6-8 hours of sailing per day depending on weather conditions will allow you to have the land in time to enjoy the stops.

In navigation, an organization in the form of a "quarter" can be set up, in order to ensure the best way of walking the boat guaranteeing for each one a practice at all posts.

The Navigation Area

The navigation zone includes the waters of Guadeloupe to Dominica to the south and Antigua to the north. The anchorages of the Saintes, Marie Galante or other islands will amaze you by the beauty of their landscapes. In Dominica or Antigua, the anchorages of these foreign islands will totally disorient you.

What To Expect Onboard:

You sail aboard a monohull sailing boat of 11 to 15 meters high performance, marine, comfortable and recent, equipped with an auxiliary engine. The boat is arranged with three double cabins, a comfortable square with kitchen, fridge, card table. It has a spacious cockpit, and an annex to go downhill.

The crew

The crew consists of a maximum of 7 crew members and an our cruise instructor. Under 5 crew members per boat, we reserve the right to cancel the course.

Access

Departure and arrival

Meet in front of the harbor of Marina Bas du Fort Gosier.

We must be aware of the difficulties and unforeseen circumstances in the field of transport. Try to accommodate your appointments or resumption of work. Attention also to the correspondences too just with the return plane. Keep a comfortable margin of time.

Transport

In accordance with the regulations, we give you the names of the airlines that can be used by the UCPA on this destination: Air France, Air Caraïbes, Corsair.

On all of the companies, the weight of the maximum luggage authorized will be 23 kgs in soute and 10 kgs in the cabin. (except last minute modification on the part of the company).

Beginning of the Cruise

The course begins on Monday at the Marina de Bas-du-Fort in Gosier in Guadeloupe.
It is the arrival time of our flight which determines the start of the course, usually in the late afternoon (information from our Cruise 10 days before departure).
Rendezvous in front of the pharmacy of the airport near the exit n ° 3 for those who benefit from the transfer to the Marina.

End of Cruise

The course ends at the Marina de Bas-du-Fort in Gosier on Monday noon.
The crew cleans the boat before leaving the shore.
Arrival in Paris on Tuesday morning.

Coaching

The instructor is a volunteer. He is qualified by our company after a complete training and recognized by the French Sailing Federation. He is a passionate cruiser who will pass on his passion and experience.
