What You Can Expect:

We proposes to you to discover the mangrove in a playful way! At the edges of boats without a license you will follow the guide who will take you in immersion in the mangrove then the lagoon. A mid-way break to relax with a snack and explore the seabed is planned on a white sandy island. An excursion into the different worlds of the mangrove

Heart of mangrove

From the port of Sainte-Rose, the excursion leaves for the Moustique River for a complete immersion in the mangrove. Different mangroves make up these forests in brackish water, a mixture of fresh water and seawater, a complete ecosystem necessary to the natural balance of Guadeloupe.
There are several kinds of birds, the white egrets are the best known, the most impressive pelicans. Many crabs live in the mangroves, especially red crabs, which are popular in Creole cuisine as a specialty at Easter.

The course continues more at sea where the islands of mangrove spacing each other on a turquoise lagoon where the depth oscillates between 1 meter and a few centimeters. This passage will give you the impression of being in another world far from any civilization!

Ilet La Biche

Halfway through, a break at the La Biche islet. This islet of white sand and mangrove is still well preserved. A snack is taken in the water. The more curious will be able to explore the nearby bottoms and meet our multicolored tropical fish, corals, many starfish and sea cucumbers, or sea cucumbers. For others, complete relaxation in the crystal clear waters.

Back by the lagoon

After this moment of relaxation, the return to the port passes through the lagoon between islets, sand banks, mangrove islet and facing a magnificent view of the volcanic chain of Basse-Terre. For those who will take the afternoon excursion, the return is facing the setting sun where the blues of the sky and the sea change towards orange and purple.

Safety of excursions

Besides the diplomas and training of your guide, the equipment is also proven for your comfort and safety. Our boats are "hard" and do not risk getting drilled. The excursion routes were carefully prepared and tested for months before the start of the activity. If the engine of a boat breaks down, the boat can be towed by another which will not hamper the continuation of your excursion! And finally, the pharmacy kit is aboard the guide boat in case of small bobos.
