What You Can Expect:

Bora Bora Deep Sea Fishing Trip

One mile off the reef the waters drop to more than 1,000 meters depth (3280 ft) and this is the start of the fishing grounds.

The types of game fish you can expect to find here include Blue Marlin, Barracuda, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Trevally Jack, Skipjack and Yellowfin Tuna.

Other less common game fish include Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Big Eye Tuna and Shortbill Spearfish.

Bora Bora Lagoon Fishing Trip

The quieter calmer waters within the lagoon also offer good fishing opportunities.

Here you can expect to find a variety of fish including small barracuda, lagoon bonito, trevally jacks, blue fin trevally, snappers and groupers.

Half day and full day trips are available with the possibility of combining deep sea and lagoon fishing.

Fishing Trip conditions

The waters around Bora Bora Islands provide good all year round fishing conditions. However, it is when the water is at its warmest ( December – June ) that you can expect big fish and tons of action.

Between the winter months of June and August the waters are at their coldest and roughest, the mara’amu southeasterly blowing trade wind is most common during these months.

The locals consider the period between February and April to be the best with the Inter-Island Fishing Championship being hosted within this period.

With generally mild water conditions and the lure of being able to catch big game fish all year round there is only one question……what are you waiting for?

You can choose the method of fishing which suits you best. We have all the equipment you may need for trolling, popping, jigging and bottom fish.
